The Econometrics and Empirical Economics Group at the University of Hohenheim seeks to hire a
Postdoctoral Researcher
beginning from October 1st, 2025, or as mutually agreed.
We invite applications from outstanding and highly motivated early-career researchers with a strong background in Microeconometrics and/or Applied Microeconomics. The position is ideal for a researcher aiming to advance their academic career by further developing a promising research agenda.
The successful applicant has already demonstrated her/his ambition to pursue an academic career by showing outstanding scientific skills in her/his doctoral studies. The ideal candidate combines the ability to conduct independent and innovative research with the strong interest to embark on joint research projects in our group, aiming to publish in leading academic journals.
The University of Hohenheim is located in Stuttgart in the South of Germany. The Econometrics and Empirical Economics Group, part of the Institute of Economics, offers a dynamic and inspiring research environment. Our research focuses on questions in Applied Econometrics, Education and Labor Economics.
Applicants hold a doctoral degree in Economics (completed within the past two years) or are close to completion. The initial appointment is full-time for a term of three years, with the possibility of renewal. Remuneration is based on the TV-L public pay scale (state of Baden Wuerttemberg), salary group E13. The regular teaching obligation is 4 hours per semester.
